An arthroscope is a small, pencil-size instrument that has a fiber-optic head. The fibers beam light into a joint and projects a picture to a special camera, allowing our orthopedics center's experts to diagnose, treat, or repair ligaments-particularly for arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. This procedure is also used to remove loose elements in a joint.
